Nestled among the rolling hills of Florida's panhandle, DeFuniak Springs was once referred to as the “Adirondacks of Western Florida”. In 1884, the Florida Chautauqua Association began meeting in DeFuniak Springs, and its leaders helped facilitate the construction of four churches: Methodist, Baptist, Episcopal, and Presbyterian.
Saint Agatha’s Episcopal Church overlooks the shores of a circular lake in the heart of the city.
