My Father Floyd

While sitting with my father on the steps of this country church in Steinhatchee, he told me the story of a young man from Vernon who set fire to their church that also served as a school in the 1930’s. It was a sad day to lose such an important building that met the needs of the locals though education and spiritual guidance. We can take away inspiration from these historic structures as we strive to make our world a better place for those who live among us and to those who follow.
