Selby Gardens Historic Spanish Point, a 30-acre museum in Osprey on Little Sarasota Bay, Sarasota County, is home to archaeological sites thousands of years old and pioneer history dating from the late 1800s.
At the park, you will find a 1901 restored home, a reconstructed orange packing house and Mary’s Chapel, built to honor Mary Sherrill, who died five weeks after her arrival to the area. The chapel was originally built around 1894 and reconstructed in 1986 with the original 1895 chapel bell and several stained-glass windows.
