Christ Episcopal Church in the Monticello Histroic Distric was oraganized in 1840. Built in 1843 the original church was destroyed by fire in 1881. The present structure was built in 1885. The stick-style architecture was designed by Mr. T. M. Ferguson of Georgia.
The original communion Table, hand-pumped English organ, and Font, which was a gift from St. John's Church, Tallahassee, in 1854, were saved from the fire.
